Beer Reviews - Rogue Locker-Stock Imperial IPA 4/5

A few weeks ago, my roommate and I headed out to Crane Alley, one of the local bars well known for its good beer selection.

After a pint of some very forgettable pumpkin flavored beer, I ordered a "Rogue Locker-Stock Imperial IPA," on the bartender's recommendation. This turned out to a excellent choice for two reasons. The first reason was that the bartender had great taste. The locker-stock IPA was pretty much everything I look for in an IPA, bitter, strong and thick. It is definitely one of the better IPAs I've had the pleasure of ordering. The Rogue brewery definitely seems to have a distinct taste across their beers, which tend to be strong and thick. Their Imperial IPA is basically a concentrated form of what makes Rogue Dead guy a nice beer.

The other reason had to do with dumb luck. I was about half-way through my pint when a couple guys came into the bar and sat down near us, one of them wearing a 'Rogue' shirt. After a few minutes, I made a comment about how the guy had good taste in beer. It turned out that he wasn't a fan so much as a distributer.

He, and the other rogue guys ended up covering all rogue products bought in the bar for the next couple hours, as well as buying one of every appetizer crane alley serves and sharing with my roommate and I, making an excelent end to a nice night out trying some beers.
